
Kalkutta, named in homage to her infancy spent in an Indian orphanage,

is an Artist, Songwriter/Producer (Sony ATV), and DJ best known for being featured regularly on Good Morning America and penning RIAA certified platinum song "New Americana" for Halsey.

A love of fashion and culture parallels her love for music, drawing MAC Cosmetics, Ferrari, and SHAPE Magazine as well as designers Nanette Lepore and Betsey Johnson to book her for events and runways.
A passion for travel lead to touring with pop acts, whom she accompanied on episodes of SNL, Ellen, and The Tonight Show.

Spinning opening sets for renowned song selectors like Questlove, Q-Tip, Solange Knowles, and A-Trak, Kal learned from the best. Deejaying for partygoers like Prince, Paul McCartney, Rihanna, and The Weekend at Grammy soirees and nightclubs has garnered her mentions in Page Six and The Daily News amongst many other publications

As she prepares to release an EP, the playlists Kal curates for brands like Complex and Teen Vogue are increasingly peppered with her own material- outside of writing for artists like Halsey and Sevyn Streeter, she's done official remixes for dance artists Krewella and Clean Bandit
